The Board of Directors of Platex Metal Trading Ltd, an international metals trading company headquartered in Abu Dhabi, has approved the first audit review at its general meeting held on July 29, 2026.
Shareholders of the company unanimously voted in favour of the decision.
The independent auditors’ report on interim condensed financial statements was prepared by an independent audit, tax and consultancy firm RSM Dahman Auditors. In a report released on July 28, 2026, it reviewed the financials of Platex for the period from 15 October 2025 (date of incorporation) to 30 June 2026.
RSM’s goal was to find out whether or not these financial statements were prepared and presented by the management of Platex in accordance with the International Accounting Standard IAS 34 on interim financial reporting. It concluded that the interim condensed financial statements, in all material respects, are in accordance with IAS 34.
The review was conducted in accordance with International Standard on Review Engagements 2410 and consisted of making inquiries, primarily of persons responsible for financial and accounting matters, and applying analytical and other review procedures. RSM noted that a review is substantially less in scope than an audit conducted in accordance with International Standards on Auditing, and it does not express an audit opinion.
Lastly, RSM recognised the management’s opinion that the current geopolitical crisis in Middle East poses no significant risks to Platex operations, liquidity or recoverability of assets.
