Platex Metals Trading LLC (“Platex”) is committed to full compliance with all tax laws and regulations in every jurisdiction in which we operate. We adopt a transparent and responsible approach to tax, and maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards the facilitation of tax evasion by any person acting on our behalf.

Our Commitment

Platex conducts its tax affairs with integrity and transparency. We pay the correct amount of tax in accordance with applicable laws, maintain open and constructive relationships with tax authorities, and do not engage in or facilitate aggressive tax avoidance schemes or tax evasion.

Key Principles

  • Legal Compliance: We comply with all tax filing, reporting, and payment obligations across all jurisdictions where we operate, including UAE Corporate Tax Law and VAT regulations.
  • Zero Tolerance for Tax Evasion: Platex does not engage in, promote, or facilitate tax evasion—whether directly or through the actions of employees, agents, or associated persons.
  • Prevention of Facilitation: We have implemented reasonable prevention procedures, consistent with the UK Criminal Finances Act 2017, to prevent the facilitation of tax evasion by those acting on our behalf.
  • Transfer Pricing: All intercompany transactions are conducted at arm’s length and in accordance with applicable transfer pricing regulations and OECD guidelines.
  • Transparency: We maintain accurate tax records, make timely disclosures to relevant authorities, and cooperate fully with tax audits and investigations.
  • Risk Management: We regularly assess tax risks arising from our business activities and implement appropriate controls to manage and mitigate those risks.

Governance

Senior management is responsible for ensuring tax compliance across the organisation. Tax strategy and risk management are reviewed periodically and reported to the Board. Employees who become aware of potential tax evasion or facilitation must report their concerns immediately through our confidential reporting channels.
