Platex Metal Trading Ltd

Platex Adopted the Supply Chain Commitment Policy

General Manager approved the company’s Supply Chain Commitment Policy.

Platex Metals Trading LLC (“Platex”) is committed to responsible sourcing and supply chain integrity in the precious metals industry, in alignment with the OECD Due Diligence Guidance for Responsible Supply Chains of Minerals from Conflict-Affected and High-Risk Areas and the LBMA Responsible Sourcing Programme.

Our Commitment

We conduct thorough due diligence throughout our precious metals supply chain to ensure metals we trade are sourced responsibly and ethically. We will not tolerate, facilitate, or profit from any supply chain linked to serious human rights abuses, conflict, money laundering, terrorist financing, or environmental degradation.

Key Principles

  • Conflict-Free Sourcing: We do not knowingly source precious metals that directly or indirectly finance or benefit armed conflict, illegal mining, or any non-state armed groups.
  • Human Rights: We are committed to ensuring our supply chain is free from serious human rights abuses, including forced labour, child labour, and inhumane working conditions.
  • OECD Five-Step Framework: We implement the OECD’s five-step due diligence framework—establishing management systems, identifying risks, implementing mitigation strategies, conducting independent audits, and reporting on due diligence practices.
  • Supplier Due Diligence: All suppliers undergo comprehensive KYC processes, including verification of origin, chain of custody documentation, sanctions screening, and ongoing monitoring.
  • Environmental Responsibility: We expect supply chain partners to minimise environmental harm and adhere to applicable environmental laws and best practices.
  • Transparency and Traceability: We maintain detailed records of all supply chain transactions and require full traceability of materials from origin through to delivery.

Governance

Our supply chain due diligence programme is overseen by senior management and subject to periodic independent audits. Where risks are identified, we take appropriate action—including suspending or terminating relationships with non-compliant counterparties.
